Vivozon to Present Practical Methodology in Identifying Antionociceptive Multi-Target Drugs at Upcoming 10th Annual Pain Therapeutics Summit
As the steady decline of newly developed single-targeted drugs is becoming a challenge in the field, researchers are preferring to use a practical methodology in identifying antionociceptive multi-target drugs. The design of this approach allows for drugs to reflect multifactorial diseases caused by intricate networks of various mechanisms.
A recent review on the revolutionary trend in pursuing multi-targeting drugs has been released by several researchers in the field of neuropathic pain.
Doo Lee, Chief Executive Officer at Vivozon, Inc, is one of the primary researchers conducting this review. Dr. Lee will be presenting his research at Arrowhead’s 10th Annual Pain & Migraine Therapeutics Summit, held October 19-20, 2016 in Chicago, Il. This paper reviews several multi-target drugs to introduce the progress in establishing a methodology for the identification of antinociceptive multi-target drugs. By using a system of ex vivo efficacy screening using long-term potentiation in rat spinal cord as a surrogate biomarker for neuropathic pain, this methodology has the potential to revolutionize therapies for neuropathic pain. This technique is also used to lure an unknown target combination that causes synergistic mechanisms. For more information on the review, visit http://bit.ly/29Us9qG.
The 10th Annual Pain & Migraine Therapeutics Summit is the US’s premier pain conference covering the field of pain research and therapeutics. With various stakeholders in pharmaceutical, biotech, device and medical communities attending, this conference will provide multi-faceted perspectives on the latest pain research.
